Matchday

Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · Effective November 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Butler, who makes Matchday ("we", "us"). By setting up Matchday or using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Matchday.

1. What Matchday is

Matchday is a free sports calendar for iPhone. It puts the teams, players, leagues and tours you follow on one schedule, shows scores and standings, and sends alerts about the games you choose. It's in a private beta, shared through Apple's TestFlight.

2. Not affiliated with any league or team

Matchday is an independent app. It isn't made, sponsored or endorsed by any league, team, tour, player, broadcaster or data provider. Team, league and player names, logos and other marks belong to their owners and are shown only to identify them.

3. Scores, schedules and alerts

Matchday reads public sports feeds, such as ESPN, the NHL, MLB and the PSA squash tour. We don't control these feeds and don't guarantee their accuracy, completeness or timeliness.

4. Odds and win estimates are information, not betting advice

Some game pages show a "favoured to win" percentage and a betting line. Both come from ESPN and are shown for information only. They are estimates, not predictions you should act on. Matchday doesn't take, place or help with bets, and nothing in it is a recommendation to gamble. If you choose to bet, you're responsible for following the law where you live.

7. Feedback

If you send feedback, ideas or bug reports, we may use them to improve Matchday without owing you anything. Please don't include other people's personal information.

8. Our content

Matchday's design, code, name and icon belong to Michael Butler. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.

9. No warranty

Matchday is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors.

10. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Matchday or reliance on what it shows, including missed games, betting losses, lost data, and indirect or consequential losses. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to CA$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Ending use

You can stop using Matchday at any time: delete your profile under Profile › Your data, delete the app, and leave the beta in the TestFlight app. We may end the beta, or stop updating Matchday, at any time. Sections 4 and 7 to 12 continue after your use ends.
